Gallery Andrea was featured in Scottsdale Independent about our upcoming October show:
October at Gallery Andrea, 7019 E. Main St., Scottsdale, will feature art by Rusty Walker and dresses, purses and more from Artsyandreaz Floral Fashion.
Mr. Walker has been painting scenery of the Southwest for more than 40 years, and the gallery will exhibit his Arizona landscapes along with his art of horses.
“Much of my work is painted on location, and those are rather direct, strong in contrast and expressive color,” he stated in a release. “I try to convey as much as possible with each stroke of the brush with minimal over painting. I rely more on the image sustained in my mind’s eye through what I call, subjective realism, related to impressionism and expressionism.”
Fashion by Artsyandreaz Floral Fashion is custom made with artwork by mother-daughter duo Andrea de Kerpely-Zak and Andrea Zakrzewski.
“The motto is ‘Wear Happiness,’ and each piece has a positive message,” the release stated. “You will see dresses, skirts, scarves and purses on exhibit at Gallery Andrea and on the runway of Phoenix Fashion Week on Oct. 18 during Community Night at Talking Stick Resort.” View her fashion online andreazfloralfashion.com
The gallery, which also features Andrea de Kerpely-Zak’s artwork, is open daily 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in addition to 7-9 p.m. Thursdays for ArtWalk. Closed Sunday.

Watch Andrea de Kerpely-Zak paint live on 12news. de Kerpely-Zak is published with Georgia O”Keeffe and is internationally known for painting “Healing Flowers.” The Wildflowers of Arizona are one of her most favorite subjects.
Scottsdale’s Gallery Andrea showcases the work of mother-daughter duo.
Gallery Andrea has been a staple of the local art scene in Old Town Scottsdale since 2004.
Andrea de Kerpely-Zak has been creating and exhibiting her mesmerizing artworks for over 35 years and her pieces are internationally collected. Known for colorful and delicate impressionist flowers, her paintings explore the emotion of a particular moment of the day and symbolize freedom and healing, while examining the idea and the effect of the light. She utilizes acrylic paint on canvas that she then waters down, creating a watercolor effect. This allows her to work quickly on multiple paintings at a time on subjects ranging from flowers and desert plants to landscapes.
Gallery Andrea features artwork by both de Kerpely-Zak and Zakrzewski, in addition to the work of several prominent artists from around the world. The pieces showcase a diverse selection of artwork and styles including floral, abstract, figurative, landscape, and sculpture.
As a complementary project, Zakrzewski recently launched her own fashion line, Artsyandreaz Floral Fashion. Featuring wearable art, including dresses, leggings, and scarfs incorporating the mother and daughter’s floral artwork, the fashions debuted this past October at Phoenix Fashion Week.
Gallery Andrea participates in the weekly Thursday Scottsdale ArtWalk from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each week. The gallery is located at 7019 E. Main St., Scottsdale and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed on Sunday. For more information about Gallery Andrea, visit them online at artandrea.com.
